Space Paintings
Space Paintings
I'm fascinated by space (well, sci-fi space. I don't know much about real space...) and by movie special effects. I actually learned to use Photoshop to add the glowing lightsaber blades to pictures of me and my friends. One of my first free-time projects when a former supervisor told me to kill some time and learn a new skill was to learn to paint space scenes. I still do one every now and then just for fun. This is a collection of some of the better ones I've done over the last few years. Want one of your own? Email me about buying a copy.

Serious Goose Logo
Serious Goose Logo
I entered a logo contest and didn't win. =\ I knew this was a risky concept - it could easily be too silly or quirky for the logo committee's taste - but I decided that even if I didn't win, I wanted my entry to be memorable. The final product, sans company name, is actually one of my personal favorites out of the things I've designed, and I'm looking for a way to use it in the future. Maybe Amy Hamm Design will gain a mascot one day...

"How To Jump a Battery" Card
"How To Jump a Battery" Card
I keep this in my trunk, because, wouldn't ya know, I always end up having to jump car batteries when there's no internet and I can't remember how to do it and neither can the other person... I don't speak car, but I can follow directions!Want one for yourself or a friend? Email me about buying a copy.

Chronicles of Narnia Poster
Chronicles of Narnia Poster
Some friends of mine chose a Narnia theme for their baby boy's room, so I decided to make a Narnia poster for them as a gift. The thing I love about the Narnia books is their ability to illustrate spiritual truth through dynamic story. I chose a quote from the novels which reflects my friends' desire that their baby boy would learn to know Jesus even through his play time. Want a poster of your own? Email me about buying a copy.

Strengths Finder Results Poster
Strengths Finder Results Poster
At my former job every employee had the opportunity to take the Strengths Finder assessment (which I highly recommend). The company encouraged us to post our results in our offices, under the assumption that knowing one another's strengths would help us work together more effectively. The printable version of the test results was quite lacking as a decorative office piece, so I made a design of my own. Once people saw mine they usually asked if I could create one for them, so similar posters ended up sprinkled around the building.

Recipe Book
Recipe Book
I love to find and tweak new recipes until they match my inner ideal of perfect food. I was having a hard time keeping all my changes straight, so I put together a file I could keep in cloud storage, load on my phone, and share with family and friends. They would always have my most up-to-date changes, and I wouldn't have to wonder if I had already doubled the salt! Of course, nothing is worth doing unless you do it right, so the look of the recipe book needed to be just as good as the (eventual) taste of the recipes.
